How to play karaoke on your TV, free and with no app

Your smart TV already has what you need: a web browser. Open Karaoke Fiesta there, connect it to your phone, and everyone picks songs from their own.

No sign-up needed. Friends join from their phones.

Step by step

  1. Open the TV’s web browser (“Web Browser” on LG, “Internet” on Samsung).
  2. Type karaokefiesta.app/tv with the remote. The TV shows a code.
  3. On your phone, go to karaokefiesta.app, tap “Start a party”, choose “On a TV” and type that code. Your phone becomes the host.
  4. Press OK once on the remote to turn the sound on. From then on, songs start by themselves.
  5. Friends scan the QR code on the TV and add songs from their phones.

Open karaokefiesta.app on the TV, tap “Start a party” and choose “On this screen”. The TV shows a QR code, and the first phone to join becomes the host.

Which TVs work

Karaoke Fiesta is made for the browsers on smart TVs from 2020 on: LG (webOS), Samsung (Tizen), Android TV, Google TV and others. If your TV can’t open the page or has no browser:

  • Connect a laptop to the TV over HDMI, open karaokefiesta.app and choose “On this screen”.
  • Mirror a phone or tablet to the TV (AirPlay, Chromecast or your TV’s own feature) and choose “On this screen”.

Tips

  • Leave the TV on the page: you won’t need the remote during the party.
  • If a video can’t play on the TV, Karaoke Fiesta skips it and moves on.
  • Turn the TV volume up before you start; the app fades each song’s ending by itself.
